A writer [artist] who is not able to sell a pure text [ artwork] is an ‘écrivain’ ['ein Künstler']. His production is free and not commissioned. It is individual and does not necessarily have a buyer, or a buyer at the desired price. It is therefore doomed to circulate for free. (The Space of Words.
